I am schedule to arrive in Rwanda in mid August and have been planning to stay at new lodge being built by Bov's Camp...the Silverback Lodge. It is scheduled to open July 2007 but I am not hearing too much from them. Does any one know anything? I need to have accomocations 8/21,22 & 23. Am I nuts for hanging out on this or do you think I should book elsewhere like Gorilla's Nest or Virunga? What say you experts? I would hate to find my self with permits and flights and no place to rest my weary head!

If I were you I would book Gorillas nest as a back-up. You can always cancel if everything works out OK with the Silverback.

Just another update. Governors latest email me says they "should be open by October".

Cheweyhead, sorry I missed your earlier post. I think I am going to make a back up plan for myself at Gorilla's Nest or virunga Lodge.
