Using today's exchange rates, that translates into a rate of $128 per night for a 2 night stay. This is one of the finest hotels in Joburg, and is 1/3 the price of the Michelangelo, for example. Unless I am mistaken, this is NOT a per person price, but rather the price for the room.

However, in the event that it is a pp rate, there is another special that is for 1,240 per couple per night ($200 per couple, using today's 6.20 Rand to 1 USD exchange).

I gave the Westcliff a quick call. That's correct, those "room only" rates are for one or two persons.

Thanks for the clarification. It is really an unbelievable deal to be able to stay at the 5* Westcliff for what amounts to $128 USD per night with the current exchange rate.

I've just found a rate at the Westcliff on Cheaptickets for slightly more than the Special Internet Rates and slightly less than the Absolutely Affordable rates available directly from the Westcliff.

The only reason to be interested in this rate vs. the special internet rate directly from the Westcliff is that there isn't a two night minimum on the Cheaptickets rate. It includes breakfast. It also requires pre-payment.
