South Luangwa or Kruger.... anyone been to both?

Jump to last reply

In the process of planning prolonged trip in Africa, will start in Tanz and work our way south. We will be visiting multiple national parks but due to constraints we will be forced to choose between visiting either S. Luangwa or Kruger. Has anyone been to both and have any advice to lend toward making a decision.

We are interested in photography and are not the "exclusive lodge" types. I am leaning toward S. Luangwa but keep running into posts about how Kruger is so good (even though it may seem a little too touristy/developed). A comparison would be helpful.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
