Riads in Fes for Xmas
Hi friends
Our plans for a family trip over Christmas fell through for the second time just before I left for India.
We'd originally booked to visit the icehotel in Sweden but Air Scandinavia made some major schedule changes and we couldn't work the trip within their new schedule. So then I found an alternative trip to watch killer whales in Norway and booked that. Again Air Scandinavia changed their schedule significantly and that trip too is cancelled.
So we're now considering somewhere far away from Air Scandinavia's reach and have come up with Fes in Morocco, with Marrakech as second choice.
Assuming I can find reasonably priced flights for 5 adults on our available dates, which at the moment I seem to be able to do, does anyone have any recommendations for riad accommodation that might still have availability at this time of year? We'd be looking for one double room, one twin and then either a (decent) single room or a twin/ double for single occupancy. Would prefer bathrooms with tub rather than just shower but that's not critical.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance...

Christmas period could be rough- many guest houses book up months in advance. Your best bet is to contact www.fez-riads.com. Helen books accommodation is some of the lesser-known riads, so they may have availability still.

Thanks so much!
I guess it's hard to know whether to go ahead and book the flights first or to wait and see if we can accommodation... I'll get in touch with Helen and see if she can advise.
THANK YOU

Hi folks
Family conference and we've decided on Marrakech instead of Fez.
Flights are booked so I DO hope I CAN find some nice accommodation.
I've dropped Helen a line to apologise for wasting her time with my initial Fez inquiry and am now contacting a number of riads in Marrakech directly.
If anyone has any recommendations, either for a particular property or for a booking agency or travel agent, please let me know.
THANKS!

The Riad Kaniza 212(0)61 40 37 35
Abdelkamel Bouskri
It is a beautiful Riad and Kamel and his staff are the very best with any and all of your travel needs. They have a wonderful kitchen for dinners, lunches in the riad.
The place is a real place of comfort and relaxing in a wild town. You will be very happy at this riad, IF you can get in. It was my favorite place in all of Morocco although we stayed in some lovely places.
