I'm looking for escorted tours that travel to Spain/Portugal. There's one tour through Globus (Iberian Vacation) that makes a one night stop in Tangier. I'll be traveling solo and was wondering if I should be okay?? I've heard so many negative things about Morocco and single women. I may opt to chose another tour that does NOT include Morocco.

Please see my response to your other thread. My tour included 6 nights in various parts of Morocco and it was fabulous. It's a shame this tour only includes Tangier, but you'll be fine in Morocco.

BTW, I am a female and I was traveling solo on that trip.

What have you heard? I travled with a group and there were four single women; all enjoyed the trip and had no problems. I thought Morocco was fabulous, as do many female posters on Fodors.

However, we did not go to Tangier, which I do not believe is a typically Moroccan city, but you should still be okay if you don't go wandering around on your own. Won't there be other people on gthe Globus tour?

Yes, of course-there are other travelers with me. That's why I opted for an escorted tour. I'm only in Morocco (Tangier) for 1 night.

Sorry, I'm confused. In the above sentence you write you will be traveling solo. If you'll be with a group why do ask if you you'll be okay? Of course you will be.
