Questions on Misr or Friendly Planet to Egypt
Both have good itineraries and prices but when I called Misr for a few basic questions, I got the impression I was "bothering" him. I did get answers but am worried when it comes to detailed questions (and I will have a few)--not interested. Makes me lack confidence in booking but I love the tour and he said only 10-15 on tour, very nice. Friendly plant seems to have 30+ on theirs, how can you possibly hear the guide with that many people around? Any comments to help me out, I'd appreciate it and thanks.

I travelled with Friendly Planet to Egypt in September 2006 and had a wonderful time. Yes, it is a large group but we had no trouble hearing the guide or receiving personal attention if you wanted.
It was a very mixed group with people from their 20's to their 70's but we all got along great and I can honestly say it was one of my best ever trips.
We had a few mishaps on the trip, through no fault of Friendly Planet, and the guides did everything possible to correct the situation. Friendly Planet even had to buy half the group new plane tickets for one of the internal flights and even gave us a city tour of Cairo so we wouldn't have to wait the three hours at the airport. Also, one girl fell off a camel and broke her shoulder and pelvis so the guide would spend all night at the hospital with her and then be with us all day. They really went above and beyond in my opinion.
The hotels and the cruise ship were all very nice too. I was concerned because Friendly Planet has such cheap prices but I was impressed with the quality.
I will definitely travel with them again.

hello Zimdonna,
I am planning my honeymoon for April of this year and I have booked with Friendly Planet. Can you tell me about the tours, the nile river cruise, and the hotels? I have heard a lot of positive things about Friendly Planet but I am very inquisitive as to the particulars. Any help you cold provide would be great.
Thanks
