Kenya in May?

I was speaking with a travel agent and told despite the fact its considered the rainy season in Kenya in May, they have had infrequent rains for that month in recent years.
They are offering a great deal and wondering if anyone can give me feedback on weather and the mossie situation during that time of year or recommend a better time to visit.
I will be visiting Nairobi, Samburu, Treetops, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara.
Thanks

We have been to Kenya in Sept/Oct 1996 in the migration period of the wildebeests. We found this time to be perfect. Our host had shown us pictures of how it had been that May in Tsavo, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. A normal safari was impossible. Roads (what's in a name) are bad already in dry season, so you can imagine what they are like in rainy season! I would rather pay more to really enjoy your safari. It is definitely worth it!

I'm headed to Kenya in Sept.02 (I know it's a ways off) and would appreciate any tips on sites that I might be able to study up on Kenya. For instance, the migration period mentioned here, etc.

We were in Kenya this past May 2-13 and had GREAT weather. It sprinkled on us only one afternoon and it didn't hamper our game drives or seeing lots of animals.

There were hardly any other tourists at our hotels and consequently we saw every animal that was available to see.

We went with 2Afrika (www.2afrika.com) and cannot say enough good things about this company and our trip, it was absolutely enchanted.

Hope this helps,
Sandy

We were in Kenya last of March, rainey season had just started and it rained all night on us the last night, the next morning we were stuck in the mud going back to Nairobi to catch our flight back to US, the passengers all have to get out and push, I got to drive because I was the only one who could stick shift, driver was pushing also, was fun though and everyone except me was covered in mud. Kenya is wonderful, Buck

We were in Kenya at the end of May 2001. Weather was perfect, had very little rain. Temp was comfortable.
