Life expectancy has fallen to 34 for women and 37 for men

Yes, it was the saddest fact I read all day (even sadder than the nonsense spouted by the President of South Africa that's giving cover and breathing room to Mugabe).

This is very old news indeed, the life expectancies were in the late 60's when Ian Smith was in charge.

The fall in life expectancy in Zimbabwe has something to do with the government but more to do with Aids.

Life expectancy is as bad in Botswana which has the highest rate of AIDS in Southern Africa, what can you conclude from that?

You would also not probably be dead but a refugee.
