Carry On Dilema
We want to travel with no checked bacg on our trip to Egypt. They dilema I am having is the limit on liquids. Do most 4* hotels provide shampp and soap? Can we purchase sunscreen in Cairo? Is it really expensive?

Of course there is sunsceen in Egypt. All Pharmacies and maybe most SUPERmarkets will carry it. It may be European brands rather than like Coppertone, and it may be a bit more expensive than what you would pay at your local market, but look at it as the cost of all this convenience you'll have, to not have to drag around larger suitcases.
You will find something.
As for shampoo and soap - I think it really depends on the hotel. Which ones are you staying at?

I travel a bit and notice that some hotels have what they call "conditioning shampoo" which is really just shampoo and it makes my long hair feel and look like a furball!! You might just need to buy Conditioner.

Axel2DP.....well, yeah, kinda. But this is Egypt we're talking about! While I would say that the majority of the hotels we stayed in had shampoo and stuff, most did not have conditioner.
But - if you stop by a store or pharmacy to get sunscreen - you can also pick up body wash, shampoo, & conditioner. A little pricier than bringing it from home - but with less hassle as you can just leave it behind before packing up for the return trip.
Also, I would recommend picking up little packages of throw-away face wipes.
