Car rental in Tel Aviv

Want to rent a car in Tel Aviv for 6 days. Want to drop it off LATER than 6:00pm, (18:00) but they all close at that time. Tried Avis, budget and hertz. Is there a car rental place open late or has a late drop off? anyone know a person who rents cars who drops them off and picks them up from you at odd hours? We want to drop off more like 8:00pm (20:00)

I've tried this before. Surprisingly most of the car rental offices even in the major cities close at 6pm. I think your options are to keep the car till the morning (if you'll still be around) or drive to the airport where the rental agencies are open 24/7.
If you keep it until the next day, it may not incur an extra day's charge (depending on what time of the day you pick up the car)but you'll probably have to pay to park it somewhere. If you return it after hours at the airport, you can take a train back to Tel Aviv.

The only car rental offices in Israel open that late are at the airport. If it is truly critical for you to keep the car till 8 pm and not hold it till the next morning, you can return the car at the airport, pay the airport surcharge (about $28) and then return to Tel Aviv.

I forgot about the airport charge since I usually pick up my car there anyway You only pay one surcharge, so if you picked up your car at the airport and incurred that charge, you don't pay another surcharge to drop it off.

I completely agree with AlexaA, your safest bet will be to park it at the airport and take the train back to Tel Aviv. Drive South Africa is a great car rental broker, if you ever want to visit SA.
