Unless you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, this 124-square-km (48-square-mile) park is accessible only in summer (even then, a jeep isn't a bad idea). It's worth a visit for the two-hour hike on the Lago Verde trail beginning at the ranger station near the park entrance. You head up into the Andes through groves of araucaria trees, eventually reaching three startlingly blue lagoons with panoramic views of the whole area, including distant Villarrica Volcano.
