Psychic Eye Book Shop

Even when Las Vegas was a smaller town in the 1980s, this was the place to go for hypnotherapy, psychic readings, and past-life regressions. Behind the innocuous strip-mall facade are all sorts of esoteric books, lucky talismans, tarot cards, and candles. Another Las Vegas location closed in 2025.

Purple Door Ice Cream

Walker's Point

Ice cream dreams come true at this local small-batch scoop shop in the carbon-neutral Fix Building. Owner Lauren Schultz and her husband Steve run the business, making silky, rich artisan ice cream by hand, using local ingredients whenever possible. They create mouthwatering flavors such as salted caramel, green tea and bacon. Feel less guilty about the creamy calories knowing that the milk comes from Wisconsin cows, and a portion of profits helps provide milk to Milwaukee homeless shelters.

For surf-inspired gear, visit The Foam Company and Shapers. Other stops include Macy's, PacSun, Bath & Body Works, and American Eagle Outfitters. The charming owners have created a warm and inviting gathering spot and store with its brick walls, Venetian glass light fixtures, terra-cotta tiles, beautiful food, and handmade Italian gift displays and tables both inside and out. You might not have realized it but you may have already eaten the pasta made in this diminutive food shop: Raffetto's quietly supplies dozens of Italian restaurants in the city with pasta and related food items. Since 1906, the Raffetto family has been making dried and fresh pasta and stocking their shelves with homemade Italian food products—back when this part of the Village was a "Little Italy" of sorts.
