This year, California saw the snowiest season on record and Squaw Valley Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe saw almost 700 inches of snow. With over 300% more snow than the resort usually sees, Squaw Valley has decided to extend the ski season—indefinitely.
The resort will stay open 7 days a week through May and on weekends from June to July 4. There are even rumors that because of the massive amount of snow, the resort will continue operations through the rest of the summer.
Get ready for a fun season with themed weekends, costumes galore, live music, Tahoe’s largest super pipe, and plenty of al fresco restaurants and bars to soak up the summer sun in between runs.
