If you're feeling peckish and want to soak up a little neighborhood ambience, drop into the cash-only Chez Clo for a bowl of the best pea soup in the city, followed—if you have the room for it—by a slab of tourtière (meat pie). The dessert specialty is pudding au chomeur (literally, pudding for the unemployed), a kind of shortcake in a thick brown-sugar sauce. The service is friendly, and the clientele mostly local, but there are often lines.
