Set in a beautiful historic home, this café/bakery offers delicious breakfast sandwiches and baked goods, and heartier lunches such as maple curry poutine, grilled cheese on a house-made baguette with bacon and tomato chutney, and juicy burgers, to be enjoyed in the bright drawing rooms or on a lawn that backs onto the Waterfowl Park. 

Not surprisingly, chocolate features heavily on the menu here, including hot chocolate drinks, and there’s good coffee, too, including latte and iced coffee. They also serve freshly baked croissants and chocolate treats containing nothing but healthy natural ingredients. You can buy handmade chocolates to go, too.

This artisan bakery-café with a shaded streetside terrace is a great place to drop in for a quick bite, with an inviting aroma of fresh-baked bread and freshly brewed coffee to greet you. There's a deli counter with a great range of cheeses plus quick counter service for delicious soups, sandwiches, omelets, panini, pizzas, salads, and tempting pastries; table-service breakfasts run until 1 pm on weekends.

Don't expect any frills here, but don't expect any processed food either—this diner and takeout, far removed from the touristy center of town, is the place to taste some authentic and delicious Acadian dishes. Try the fricôt (a hearty chicken stew), poutine rappé (a potato dumpling stuffed with ground pork), fish cakes, or traditional baked beans. All are expertly and freshly cooked to the owner's grandmother's recipes; other options include fried clams, scallops, lobster rolls, fish burgers, and fish-and-chips.

This eclecticly decorated Alice in Wonderland-theme eatery-cum-board games café serves elevated comfort food such as French onion soup, butter chicken pot pie, and lobster quesadillas, which pair perfectly with local craft beers, creative cocktails, and excellent desserts. There's often live music on the patio in the summer.

Delicious and authentic Indian cuisine is expertly cooked and artistically presented here and gets rave reviews. The long menu includes vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as chicken, beef, lamb, and seafood---all prepared using traditional recipes, with varying degrees of spiciness. 

While the menu offers plenty of traditional pub grub—ribs, juicy burgers, potato skins, wings—to go perfectly with a selection of local beers, the Painted Pony also offers more upscale mains, and everything that comes out of the kitchen is delicious. This place is a firm favorite with locals.

This restaurant on the village square in Dorchester was built in 1811 as a stagecoach stop and is reputed to be the oldest stone structure in New Brunswick. Wander through the three dining rooms while you wait for an old-fashioned, delicious roast turkey dinner or one of the other comfort-food selections. Soups, salads, sandwiches, brunch items, and light meals are also available, and there's a children's menu. The inn is not licensed for alcohol.
