Although better known as a place to head for brunch, there are a handful of shops among the hipster cafés along the Carrer Parlament in the Sant Antoni district. IUnik is the most refreshing of all. From a small workshop at the rear, the owner converts discarded and "found" bits and bobs into unique objects and jewelry. Enamel pillboxes becoming pretty pendants, or sieves unusual hanging lamps. Metal tea strainers are transformed into retro-futuristic robots, with no function other than to delight and inspire.
