Esme Fox

Esme Fox is a professional freelance journalist based in Barcelona, Spain. Although born in the UK, she spent much of her childhood exploring the world, whilst living in the Philippines and Uganda. After graduating, she returned to the UK to study at the London School of Journalism, and later completed her Masters in Publishing and Creative Writing at Kingston University. Since then, she has worked for various travel websites and authored numerous guidebooks to Argentina and Uruguay, Cuba, the Philippines, and Spain. She has also spent time living in Melbourne in Australia, Trujillo in Peru, Penang in Malaysia, and Lisbon in Portugal. For the last several years she has been based in Spain, spending one year in Granada and the rest in Barcelona. She writes about Barcelona, as well as wider Spain, for places such as Lonely Planet, BBC Travel, The Telegraph, Culture Trip, and others. She also covers food, culture, lifestyle, and news.
