Fodor's Expert Review Blanc

$$$ Eixample New
Overseen by feted chef Carme Ruscalleda, Blanc's menu couples traditional Catalan cuisine with her love of Asian cuisine, resulting in combinations such as suckling pig and cardamom or Galician tenderloin with sweet potato and daikon. The dining room is in a bright, white atrium at the heart of the Mandarin Oriental and feels lively at almost any time of day, right from when the first bleary hotel guests crawl in for the (excellent) breakfast. The Sunday brunch, from 1–4 pm and is not cheap at €59—but it is dizzying in its variety.
