Hippocratia Festival

Every summer from June through August Kos hosts a much-attended festival when music, dance, movie screenings, and theater performances enliven historic venues such the Odeon. The festival also includes exhibits around town and activities for children.

Patmos Festival of Sacred Music

In late August or early September, the Monastery of the Apocalypse hosts this festival, with world-class Byzantine and ecclesiastical music performances in an outdoor performance space.

Symi Festival

Free dance, music, theater performances, and movie screenings come to the island every year from June through September. Most events take place in the main harbor square in Yialos, but some are scheduled in the Monastery of Taxiarchis Michael Panormitis and other historic places around the island. A schedule of events is posted at the square, and programs can be found at local stores, travel agents, and the town hall.
