7 Best Places to Shop in Jutland, Denmark

Nordby Gl. Købmandshandel

Fodor's choice

The decor of this grocery is straight out of the 1950s, but the wares on the shelves are all from present-day producers revolutionizing Samsø’s farming. You’ll find beers from the island’s microbreweries, dairy products from its farmers, and other delicacies and specialties from all over the island. There’s a charming café serving coffee, cakes, and light lunches too.

Sams Island Distillery

Fodor's choice
The gin at this small distillery is made partially out of ants from Samsø, the vodka is made of the island’s famed potatoes, and the rum is aged on oak from, you guessed it, Samsø. The shop and tasting room is located in a courtyard in Tranebjerg, and the distillery’s charming and enterprising masterminds are happy to show guests around.
