2 Best Performing Arts Venues in Bermuda

Background Illustration for Performing Arts

Bermuda's arts scene is concentrated in a number of art galleries—Masterworks in the Botanical Gardens, City Hall in Hamilton, and the Arts Centre in Dockyard are the best known—a handful of performance venues, and a few gathering spots, like Rock Island Coffee on Reid Street. For dramatic and musical performances, the The Earl Cameron Theatre, the Mid-Ocean Amphitheatre at the Fairmont Southampton Resort, and the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium at CedarBridge Academy host the country's best, including Bermuda Festival events.

Films at BUEI

The Tradewinds Auditorium at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute hosts a film series showing award-winning films the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 7 pm. Films selected are particularly suited for film buffs and in the past have included Academy Award–winner The Whale, as well as documentaries. The auditorium also hosts special events and other film-related days, including BUEI Silver Screens for seniors as well as children's films during their Kid's Hour on every third Saturday of the month until September. Check the events calendar on the website for upcoming flicks.
