The space is an intriguing mix of Christchurch and Asia—clearly the interior designer had fun creating various intimate corners, large group spaces, and a leafy courtyard. The menu also bridges the two cultures; light options include pan-seared scallops with green tea noodles or Peking duck with mandarin sauce. Dinner may be grilled, teriyaki fillet steak, fried tofu and butternut curry, or glazed pork belly with prawn-and-crab pastries. It's also becoming known as a cool spot to head to late in the evening.
