Chand Baori
Located about two hours east of Jaipur in Abhaneri is this magnificent stepwell, the oldest parts of which date to the 8th century. 3,500 steps in perfect geometric symmetry cascade about 30 meters (100 ft) to the bottom. Sculptures line the arched veranda surrounding the well.
