On Lilienblum and Allenby Streets, and in Florentine, where many of the pubs and bars are clustered, things don't really get started until at least 10 pm, especially on Friday night. Most places stay open "until the last customer," which means it's at least 3 am when things finally begin to wind down, although some places are still crowded at 5 am.

For those who want to start and finish the evening early, some nightspots—particularly wine bars—open before the night owls descend. Happy hours are becoming more and more popular.

Lima Lima

This fun, laid-back nightclub has an indoor dance floor and an outdoor garden area. Every night of the week has a different theme, including gay, mainstream, hip hop and reggaeton. Lima Lima is especially popular for its LGBTQ+ nights, which include Monday's Hip Hop nights and the Sunday night Eurovision party. The latter is a must for fans of the mega-camp European pop extravaganza that is the Eurovision Song Contest.
