Zion/Bryce

We went to Zion last November. Afterward, I happened upon a man at a walklight in Las Vegas who told me to expect entirely different weather between Bryce and Zion.

He commented that the elevation is much different so one would be warmer than the other. However, I don't remember which was which. Does anyone know off-hand what he may have been referring to?

It's usually colder at Bryce Canyon than at Zion Zion is at about 4000 foot elevation. Bryce ranges up to about 9000 feet. Higher elevations usually get snow sticking earlier.

We were at Zion on a beautiful day at the end of April. It was about 70 degrees. We drove over to Bryce and it was snowing! Elevation does make a difference. Bryce is absolutely worth the drive. It is amazing.
