Proofing your own work is always challenging. You may gloss over errors because you know what you meant to write. For me, the best way to proof my work (since I no longer work in a newsroom with colleagues to share proofing) is to read what I wrote slowly and out loud. But I don't do that on Fodors, I just give my posts a quick re-read and then hope for the best.

Yeah, like misspelling exercise (excercise) twice in the same paragraph! No one noted the error so I let it go and moved on. Oops!

JJ5- Your method doesn't work for me- I've tried it a few times and it always ends of posting a second time...
