Horseradish Grill, Canoe, and, although it doesn't have a southern twist, Babette's Cafe!

In my experience, cheap doesn't necessarily equate to bad, as my favorite three restaurants in Atlanta have some of the BEST FOOD and you don't have to take out a bank loan to eat there..... Colonnade on Cheshire Bridge, Matthews on Main Street in Tucker and Silver Grill on Monroe in Midtown. I've eaten at the Dining Room back when Guenter Seeger was the chef, several of the Buckhead Life restaurants, Anthony's, the SunDial and Nikolai's Roof. All were great. All cost the GNP of a small county. Of course, my three favorite restaurants aren't going to be featured in any Gourmet Magazine articles, either.

And at the bottom of the scale, but for a true Atlanta tradition, when you get the urge for grease, head to The Varsity.

Ke1th, live in Tucker and love Matthews!

Anyway, my out of town teammates love for me to take them to:
-Agnes and Muriels (Midtown off Piedmont on Monroe)
-PittyPat's Porch (personally have never been but heard it's good)
-Paschals on Northside Drive

Watershed - especially on Tuesday nights (fried chicken nights)

Buckhead Diner - especially for Potato Chip appetizer with Bleu Cheese

Dailey's (or other Peasant restaurant) for French Onion soup and desserts (dessert bar at Dailey's is wonderful!)

Ditto Matthews in Tucker for home-cookin'. Or Mary Mac's Tea Room on Ponce de Leon with a stop at Krispy Kreme afterwards!

The lunch buffet at Ritz Buckhead is incredible (not served on Mondays)

Flying Biscuits for casual / vegetarian (especially the Love Cakes).

Eats on Ponce for REALLY CHEAP pasta, vegetarian, or jerk chicken.
