Young Family Resort Drive from New England

We wondering if anyone knows of a resort/hotel/other location that we could visit between Jan and April of 2005 that would 1. Have supervised children's activities for 1 yr old and 3 yr old. (or on-site child care), 2. Be 4-5 hour drive from Boston, 3. Had an in-door pool. Any other suggestions of locations that parents can get a few hours of relaxation, but still be on a trip with their kids, but not a cruise?

You might take a look at the Fairfield Resort at Colonial Williamsburg. I can't imagine they'd have "activities" for kids that young, but I'm sure they can arrange babysitting services since they cater to families. Probably no on-site permanent babysitter except during school vacation times.

Here's a shot: Mohonk Lodge in New Paltz, NY (Catskills) or Mount Washington Resort at Bretton Woods, NH. Both very large, very nice, very family oriented resorts with indoor pools, children's activities and 4-5 hours from Boston.

Google both of them to at least get a sense. We stayed at both with our then 1 yr. old and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Smugglers Notch, VT comes to mind. They advertise having a large day care facility during the winter. Are you skiers?

Williamsburg is about a 10-12 hour drive from Boston. (or 13 as it took us last week!) But it is a wonderful area to stay in. Check out Kingsmill Resort - that's where we stayed and it was great.

Agree with the Mt. Washington - another great family place.
