Yosemite visit suggestions
I am set to go to Yosemite for three nights the last week of March and have booked a stay at the Wawona. What can I expect weather wise and what are must sees that time of year. Also, are tire chains really necessary?

The roads on the valley floor are usually clear of snow. But this is an unusual winter, and we are currently having snow falling down to 1000 ft. in the SF Bay area. If there is snow up at Badger Pass, I recommend taking the shuttle up there and renting either cross-country skis or snowshoes (the latter if you never skied before) for hiking (?) in that area. If you are a cross-country skier, I recommend skiing to Dewey Point (7 mi.l round-trip) for a look over the valley. For photos taken in early March, go to:

Oops. I am not sure that there is a shuttle from Wawona to the Badger Pass ski area. I mis-read your post and assumed a stay on the valley floor. For a real splurge, make a dinner reservation for Erna's Elderberry House in Oakhurst.
