Of the 3 which would you choose we will be driving from San Francisco and will require 2 rooms in October. What advice can you give, also any known websites for these? Cheers

Definitely go for the Yosemite Lodge if you can. The rooms are very standard, but it's inside Yosemite Valley, you can see Yosemite Falls every morning!
The heaviest travelled season is May 31 through Sept 1, so once you're booking outside of that time block it's not so crowded. Since you're making your plans now, I don't see any reason why you should'nt be able to get a room at the lodge.

Just got back last night from a weekend trip to Yosemite. Yosemite Lodge is convenient and basic. Yosemite View Lodge is on the banks of the Merced River a few miles west of the Arch Rock park entrance. Cedar Lodge is the farthest away of the three. I would stay at the Yosemite Lodge if possible, because you'll minimize driving to valley destinations and trailheads. There's a good, reliable shuttle bus system inside the valley.

Weather should be great. Early October is usually quite warm, still. The Falls might be drying up...some of them do, but if you've been before, that doesn't matter. And, if you haven't, it's still a spectacular park ...and the quiet you'll experience in October, will make it all the more special. Wildlife coming out more, etc.
