Yosemite Lodge

Have you stayed in Yosemite Lodge - What did you think? I am booked there for 3 nights in September. Thanks!

YL is a great place to stay. It is not a fancy place, but a place you feel very close to nature in. Most if not all rooms back to open space. You can sit out back and just enjoy the surroundings. It is close to the activities and the grill across the street is fairly inexpensive (not great food). When our children were little it was good to have the lounge area across the street as they show movies too.

It's in a beautiful setting. The grounds are open and spacious. You can chose between the cabins and the lodge. We have stayed in both. I prefer the lodge. There were critters scappering around in the attic in the cabin and its dark and far to the lodge. The dining room is spectacular -- the food is nothing special. The only unfortunate thing is that the falls will be dry.

I'm sorry. I thought you were taking about Awhenee Lodge.
Yosemite Logde is fine. They are motel rooms, but what more do you need in such a pretty place.

amy, stayed at yosemite lodge in march. thought the accomodations were fine, i think they are described most accurately as 50's style rooms. our room had fairly new bedding, linens and carpet (we could tell by the new carpet smell), and was pretty large and, most importantly, clean. some of the furniture is a little outdated, but what does that matter when you've got a beautiful view of the mountains to wake up to? the best thing about the lodge is it's central location. overall, i would definitely stay there again.

Yosemite Lodge is a great place to stay . Can't beat the location. I was really surprised with the size and cleanliness of these rooms that are high use. You'll love Yosemite in the fall. Though the falls will be slow the beauty in the park is really breathtaking and the weather will be nicer than the hot summer.
