Yosemite in November - worth it for a day and a half?

I am considering going to Yosemite in mid November but would only have about a day and a half. Would be driving from Lafayette so would have four or five hours of daylight that day plus the next. What can you see in that amount of time, at that time of year - so without taking any major hikes. Is it still crowded at that time of year?

What about lodging? The park website doesn't seem to have different season prices - just lists one. Do they really not reduce their prices in the 'off' season?

They don't reduce their prices but do occasionally have 2 or 3 day 'sales'. The room tates aren't necessarily reduced (though sometimes can be) but they throw in things like food vouchers or something.

At that time of year since the high country probably won't be accessible, you can actually see quite a bit in 1.5 days. As is see it 1.5 days in YNP is better than no days

Stay at Yosemite Lodge. There won't be many water falls to speak of but the Valley is just so glorious no matter the time of year. Over the years I've been there in Nov, Dec, Feb (my honeymoon), Mar, Apr, May, and Jul/Aug. The ONLY time I wouldn't visit again is Jul/Aug.

I agree with Janis, 1.5 days is better than no days in Yosemite!

You're going to spend those 1.5 days doing SOMETHING, whether you go to Yosemite or not.
Amongst all the "somethings" you could do during this time, I can't imagine any of them being better than going to Yosemite.
