Fabiana, I don't understand, what is your question? Do you want to know if going to Yosemite for one day is worth it? Where are you coming from before Yosemite? Will you be back again soon? How important is it to you to go? If you won't be back this way again then I'd say it's worth it.

I assume you want suggestions of what to see and do in this limited amount of time so I will tell you what we did in less time.
We arrived at the gate about 9 AM in late June; drove to the visitor's center (parked at the door); took the tram tour of the valley; returned in our auto to the places where we wanted to spend more time; drove to Glacier Point and then to Mariposa Grove. Arrived at Fresno totally exhausted; but such incredible scenery, not to be missed. Somewhere in the Glacier Point area, my brain flashed..."out of memory." Enjoy! You can do so in a short period of time.

Thank you Susan and Polly.
The point is, I would like to spend months in California (and in Canada, Europe etc etc!), but I live and work in Brazil, US dollars are very expensive for us...
Time is short to know everything, I won't be back soon, so I prefer to spend, for example, 1 day by car in Yosemite and 1 day in a flight or bus tour to the Grand Canyon (both leaving from Las Vegas) than to know just one of these places (with 2 days, there would be lots of things left anyway...)
Best regard, Fabiana.

Fabiana, sounds like you will probably not make it to California again soon (after all, as you say there is Canada and Europe also to explore) so you should make the effort to see both Yosemite and the Grand Canyon. If you can, I'd limit your time in Vegas and give yourself more time with either natural wonder.
Polly's day itinerary for Yosemite sounds good. We also rented bikes and rode around the valley floor which was very enjoyable. Don't be disappointed if some of the falls aren't very full as that is the end of the dry season, but you'll get lots of beautiful fall color.
Enjoy!
