Nice report! I missed this the first, second and third time around so glad it got topped again! The southern part of 49 is on my to do list this year and I still haven't gotten to Yosemite in winter yet despite several attempts. Your nightcap reminds me of the 38 euro shot of Jack Daniels my husband ordered once

Yes. I said that firmly tongue in cheek. We do have reservations at the Ahwahnee for both nights but would you recommend any other place?
