Yellowstone/Grand Tetons Weather Early June

I have a trip booked for Yellowstone/Grand Tetons June 5--12. What will the weather generally be like? I'm hoping there'll be some pretty spring days, but realize it could be cold and rainy. Has anyone been there during this time of June?

I went once--it was nice--but it can get cold at night--I remember I drove up from the salt Lake City airport adn stayed the first night on the way in a motel where the heat wasn't working and it was very cold. defintely not cold and rainy that time tho.

Keep in mind, last summer was hotter than normal. We've had a drought for the past several years and haven't rec'd as much rain as normal. Based on the weather so far this spring, this summer could be a hot one as well. June is still a great time to visit (IMO).

I was there in early June 2 years ago.
Fun time to visit. When we pulled up to the Old Faithful Geyser basin, the wind was blowing a whole gale it seemed and it was COLD. Then the weather moderated and we had good viewing weather.

The Tetons are lower in terms of valley elevation and should be warmer than Yellowstone

I think you will enjoy it.

We were in Jackson for 3 weeks in June-very cold-fishing, rafting and hiking were done with 2 of everything on.

We were a month early-but-not as crowded.

I'd go there anytime-in any weather-my favorite place (so far).

Went to Colorado to get warm.

was there june 12-16, 2000. Weather was nice. Don't remember it being particularly cold at night, but remember, you are quite high in elevation

bigtyke,

We were there on June 4 & 5th and the Grand Tetons on the 6th in 2000!

We had beautiful weather, but keep in mind that anything is possible. We had it snow in mid-July one year.
