Hi Maj,
You can get BASICS at the Yellowstone stores--but only the basics. I would stop in Jackson--more selection and better prices and it is a cool little place. However, it is fun to go to the stores in YS and see all the other stuff they have. Some have good coffee and ice cream, as well. Even booze if you run out.

I would stop before hand. The Yellowstone stores have limited selection, particularly of meat!
You can get canned goods, but fresh produce and meat? Nope! Buy in Jackson from a real supermarket.
If you want nothing but snacks and cokes, then what difference does it make? Canyon has the normal junk food in profusion.

I thought the Canyon General Store was quite a good size for a "Convenience Store". They have plenty of snacks, soda, water, etc. But quite expensive.
I would for sure buy the cooler in Jackson...I remember an Albertson's there with reasonable prices. Fill it with sodas before you go.
Have some blueberry pancakes in the Coffee Shop at Canyon for me, OK?

We stayed at Canyon Lodge last weekend. The store had fresh fruit, dairy products, but not much meat. It was quite expensive. I would get as much as possible at the Albertsen's in Jackson, but there will still be the essentials at Canyon if you forget something. My kids will tell yo they had a good selection of ice cream bars!
