Wineries near Phoenix

We will be in Phoenix next week for a few days for a family gathering. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with wineries in the greater Phoneix area.

These links from the Phoenix newspaper to wineries a bit north and south of Phoenix might help you plan a day trip.

Several of the wineries south of Sedona are an easy drive from Phoenix and have decent wines. I found the reds to be better than the whites in a visit early this winter.

Though I gave you links to wineries both north and south of Phoenix I would really just consider the ones north, near Sedona, during the summer. It will be cooler up there, with more touristy things to do. Leave the southern ones for the winter.

Thanks so much for the links to the great articles/informtion! My family prefers red over white, so we'll be anxious to sample!
