Why isn't the Kauai Coast Resort in the Kauai revealed book?

Maybe its under the name "Beachboy". The hotel was known by that name for many years until they gave the whole property a face lift. A friend from Oahu stayed there once so I got to see inside one of the units. It is very nice! You will love it. The only down side is the beach fronting the hotel is not suitable for swimming, but several nice beaches are a close drive away.

The address for "Kauai Coast Resort" is listed on Expedia as 520 Aleka Loop. Ultimate Kauai shows only two hotels on this street, one is the Best Western Plantation Hale and the other is Kauai Coconut Beach Resort, so I'm assuming it's the latter.

Link to Kauai Coast Resort website which describes it formerly known as the Kauai Beachboy Hotel:
http://www.kauaicoastresort.com/GetSiteHomeScreen.event

I was able to find the Kauai Coast Resort (condo) listing on a separate page(2) and different map location from the Kauai Coconut Beach Resort on www.expedia.com

P.S. Read somewhere that Coconut B.R. may become some kind of Marriott, and during our last stay at K.C.B.R. the pool did not have waterfalls that are currently shown on K.C.R./Beachboy website listed above.

I know why!

I wrote an email to the author / publisher (whatever email is listed in the book) when we were planning the Kauai portion of our recent (last month) trip.

The book representative said they didn't list a review because the Kauai Coast is a timeshare. They are only renting rooms to the public until they are 100% sold out. She said it had no reflection on the place itself.

For some reason they DO have a review of the Maui Mariott Ocean Club (in the Maui book), and that's going to 100% timeshare units too. Maybe that review was already in place previously and they just haven't taken it out yet??
