Whittier and Kenai Fjords - do both???

We did the Whittier trip and saw lots of glaciers (26, I believe), some of which were calving. The primary reason we chose the Whittier trip is because the waters of Prince William Sound are much calmer than those on the Kenai Fjords trip, and since I get seasick very easily that trip was a better choice for me. If you have the time, I would do both. Why not?

We were there last month and we did both without regrets. The 26 glaciers tour out of Whittier was nice, and cruising in Prince William Sound was a breeze. I, personally, enjoyed the Kenai Fjords cruise out of Seward better (saw more wildlife and the glacier calving was better), but it is true that the waters are rougher. But if you have time, do both. Enjoy your trip!

I am in the Navy Reserve and on ships a lot, but I never board one without taking Triptone beforehand. I was seasick one time many years ago and I swore it would be the last time. I've taken the Triptone ever since, and never had a problem. Others swear by wrist bands and a dot behind the ear. They might work too. And yes, the Kenai Fjords trip we took two years ago was rough, but no problem at all after taking my Triptone!
