I agree about the NYC but that is where I live
Thank you all for your opinions. They are really all on the mark.
We have decided to make it Montreal. We will drive so we will enjoy the colors on the way through the Adirondacks, we are staying in a small boutique hotel that is very nice and will try some of the new better restaurants. And I will do a little (ok, a lot) of shopping.
Now I am thinking that California(SF) with a stop-over in Las Vegas, would be fun in the spring.
What do you think of that
