When I mentioned "karen" in my Happy Holiday post it was meant for you hence the "mai tai" offer.
Isn't kalena=karen in Hawaiian?

Anyway, after yesterday, I may need an industrial strength Speedo!

If you find yourself on Kauai, you and any other Fodor's posters who may be there too, please join me and Mrs Kal and the other 2 couples who will be hanging with us for a mai tai or Wiki Waki Woo (their version of a Pat O'brien's Hurricane!)!

Hey Kal. You're right, its Karin with an i. ...I kind of thought the mai tai invite was for me, but it's very nice of you to clarify. Me and T would love to join you, but we'll be on the Big Island this New Year's. Two nights at a cabin off Mana Road (montain biking) and one night at the Orchid at Mauna Lani, which offered a fantastic kamaaina fare. After two nights of roughing it, I really appreciate creature comforts.

We'll do the mai tai one of these days, eh? Hauoli Makahiki Hou!

no one saying happy holidays to me!!! I use this name enough to get at least one Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas Kal, Melissa, Celeste, Scigirl, Kalena anyone else who has pulled me out of bordom buy talking about Hawaii, also Arabella and anyone else who kept me calm on 9/11 when I posted under another name. Elaine the figgy pudding was fun. Ediedickman because I really did not mean to hurt your feelings,everyone else on that post who lept to my rescue.
