Hello,

We have a restaurant gift certificate to use at any Marriott related restaurant in the D.C. area.

We are trying to choose between the Celadon at the J.W. restaurant on Pennsylvania Ave., or the Promenade restaurant at the Renaissance Mayflower hotel.

Has anyone had dinner at either of these two places, and can suggest one over the other?

I also found a review about their breakfast at www.washingtonpost.com

I've been to both. You won't be disappointed with either choice. The one at Mayflower is more elegant, while the JW's is more contemporary. The quality of the food and service is great at both. If I had to choose, I'd say Mayflower because I like that part of town.

I know this isnt on your list but if you can go to the Caucus Room
Caucus Room 202 393-1300. Excellent service and superb food.

If you haven't gone already, go to the Mayflower hotel. I've heard one rave about it. The hotel itself is gorgeous, I use to walk through it to commute to Farragut area of D.C.
