Which Of These D.C. Restaurants Would You Choose?
Hello,
We have a restaurant gift certificate to use at any Marriott related restaurant in the D.C. area.
We are trying to choose between the Celadon at the J.W. restaurant on Pennsylvania Ave., or the Promenade restaurant at the Renaissance Mayflower hotel.
Has anyone had dinner at either of these two places, and can suggest one over the other?
Thanks for the help!

Hi Anne:
I couldn't find any review of Celadon, but I found reviews of the
Promenade

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv...hman980723.htm scroll down to question about hotel buffets. Phyllis Richman is the former Washington Posts' food critic
I also found a review about their breakfast at www.washingtonpost.com

I've been to both. You won't be disappointed with either choice. The one at Mayflower is more elegant, while the JW's is more contemporary. The quality of the food and service is great at both. If I had to choose, I'd say Mayflower because I like that part of town.
