I ordered Hyatt's pillows too. We've got 4 on our bed--they are dreamy! You can get them from their website, or order from Pacific Coast Feather..."double down around".

Marriott's pillows come from Pacific Coast too. I don't know if they're the same as the Hyatt pillows.

It could be. They have a hotel line.

OO, you're too honest. You ordered Hyatt pillows? You couldn't just "steal" some?

The best pillows ever were at the JW Marriott in Oahu. I even called and thought about buying them. I think they are from England and it was well over $100 per pillow! I decided against it. I think the bed was comfortable too.

We recently stayed at a Kimpton hotel in Seattle, The Vintage Park, and SO awoke in terrible back pain from the bed every morning.

Even the lower end Marriotts beds are pretty comfy.
Ritz Carlton Pentagon City had a very comfy bed, as did the Signature Las Vegas.

"Borrow", Patrick, , but no, I ordered them through Pacific Coast, for real. DH started his career as Controller, and it stuck!

I find the Westin's very comfy. But have to agree- my last stay at a Hilton property (actually the Doubletree in Austin) was the most comfortable hotel bed I believe I've ever slept in.

Pacific Coast pillows are available at Costco. Around $40.

Another vote for Marriott. I'm staying at one right now on business and am so much more comfortable than the Hilton that I stayed in last week. The unfortunate part is that the fire alarm keeps going off in the middle of the night, so while the mattress is comfortable, I'm not getting a good night's sleep. Very frustrating at 4 am!

We spent the past two weeks in hotels (Marriott, Westin and Ritz Carlton) and I have to say the Marriott and the Ritz Carlton were the best. I had expected the Westin to be better than it was.

Thanks for the pillow info, Mollie. I'll check it out. $40 is much better than $100+. My most recent pillow purchase was at brookstone; 2 pillows and a comforter for $100.

Here is my hint to those without big bucks but still want quality.

To find a good clean, comfy room with as nice bed that won't break the bank, we go with Hampton Inns while traveling through the US and Canada.

In over 60 stays, we have yet to find a problem with this chain as others have gone down the tubes (ie Best Western, Holiday Inn etc where the quality varies from Hotel to hotel).

With the Hamoton Inns and the Hampton Inns and Suites, we find that the level of comfort and the excellence of the housekeeping staff is really good. We really get a good night sleep (great beds) and that is so important while traveling for 3 or 4 days in a row.

I usually go to see any room before we sign in but with this chain, I don't anymore. We have always thought they were really clean.

Now, to give you an idea of how demanding we can be...We own our own Vacation rental business (24 motel rooms, 16 chalets and 6 suites) and we have very high standars when it comes to CLEAN. I have actually rented a room in our local (20 miles away) Hampton Inn and brought my staff there to see how it's done right.

Find you level of comfort and stick with it. You can also get points for being a frequen visitor. Until we have any problems with Hampton Inn, they will be the only Hotels we look for in our GPS.

Be careful with the pillows. Pacific Coast carries a huge line and they are not all created equally! (I did see them at Costco last week but was in a hurry and didn't look closely, so don't know which of the line they have.)

I returned the pillows I first got from Pacific Coast, as they were unacceptable...not what we'd had at the hotel at all, which were plump yet soft enough you didn't get a stiff neck from sleeping on them...your head sunk to a comfortable level. My first order produced anemic pillows, so I called them and talked it over with one of the salespeople. She was most helpful, telling me I should order the "double down around" pillow, so I returned the first and got those. Perfection. It is also what she uses and loves...probably a good recommendation as I'm sure she gets the chance to see and try the entire line.

I think that Marriott has the beds best. They are made by a company called Jamison Bedding. I only go to Marriotts because they have Jamison mattresses! In fact, I have furnished all my bedrooms in my house with these Marriott beds by Jamison!

Toss up between Ritz Carlton and Marriott - maybe an edge to the Ritz.

Ritz, Fairmont, Marriott, Westin and the Wynn Las Vegas.

Hampton Inn and Suites had some decent bedding and linens when we stayed last year.. it was a new hotel.

I just ordered a couple more pillows from Pacific Pillows (already have two of the "Marriott" version) - one Marriott version and one Ritz-Carlton version....can't go wrong.
