Which budget hotel should I pick? Miami South Beach
So I want to go to Miami South Beach at the end of April and pay under $100 per night for 2 people. My only requirements are that the place needs to be clean, safe and walking distance to many of the main attractions. I'd also prefer to have a fridge and microwave in the room. (I'm open to hostels, but not if most of the tenants are students who just want to party all of the time).
Which place should I stay at?
1. Clay Hotel -1438 Washington Avenue
2. San Juan Hotel - 1680 Collins Avenue
3. Island House Hotel - 1428 Collins Avenue
4. Days Inn - 4299 Collins ave (unfortunately, no fridge or microwave)
Perhaps Days Inn is a safe bet because it's a chain that has a reasonably good reputation, but unfortunately there is no fridge or microwave. I was hoping to get a few things from the grocery store or reheat leftovers from restuarant meals to save a bit of money.
I welcome any comments or even suggestions on another location that I haven't considered.
Thanks and happy travels!

I am right now staying at the Four Points hotel (4343 Collins) driectly next to the Days Inn you mention on Collins Ave. It is not in South Beach though. It is 20 blocks or so away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach. That Days Inn (and the Four Points where I am) are in a much more quiet area of the beach than South Beach. I like it, but it is not wall to wall restaurants and shopping and crowds of South Beach.

Thanks, emd3. I ended up booking a room at the Clay Hotel. You can choose between a room with a view but lots of noise from a mexican restaurant downstairs or a quiet room with no view. I chose no view. But the rates are really good and the location is great. Hope you're enjoying your trip!
