Where are you flying from, by the way? Since I doubt you will find a direct flight from anywhere in Florida to Reno, you might check booking non stop to San Francisco or Los Angeles and seeing if you can get a cheapie flight to Reno from there. Because you can often get good fares to LA or SF, but rarely good ones to Reno, this may come out saving you money -- and since you'd have to change planes anyway, not be any less convenient.
We got a good cheap fare from Reno to LA on Alaska. There are others as well.

In order of convenience 1) Reno, 2) Sacramento, 3) LAX.
I assume you will be renting a car to get around Tahoe -- if so take which ever one gives you the best airfare.
Reno Airport is less than a 1 hour drive from most parts of Lake Tahoe.
Sac Airport is about 2 hours to the North shore and 2.5 hours to the south shore.
LAX is an hour's cheap flight on SW to either RNO or SMF.
The problem w/ SFO is it's a 4+ hour (if you are lucky) drive, or a much more expensive flight to reno than from LAX.

You do not state when you are taking this trip. A couple of things to keep in mind. If it is snowing, and it is an early winter, getting to Tahoe from Reno is a lot easier than from Sacramento airport.
If you have to travel (by car) on a Friday going east on 1-80 or on Sunday going west on 1-80 the traffic can be really bad. Same came be true for 50 (which you would take from Sacramento to south shore at Tahoe.
I have family in S.CA that ski a lot at Tahoe. They always take flight from LAX to Reno, rent car and go to Tahoe. Found out the hard way flying into Sacramento for skiing trip to Tahoe can turn out to be a bit unrelaxing.
