Which airport for Chicago?

I am traveling to Chicago from Dallas on a business trip and will be staying at the Four Seasons on Michigan Ave. Which airport provides the location with the most ease of travel to this hotel?

Many thanks

I think you should be more interested in which airport provides the most ease of use. If you have a choice, choose Midway.

O'Hare's the one that was causing so many delays across the county that last summer the FAA stepped in. It told the airlines to cut flights by 10% voluntarily or the FAA would do it for them. If I recall correctly 70% of the entire nation's airline delays could be traced back to O'Hare.

Even after the reduction, on-time arrival performance has only improved 11%.

BTW Midway is closer to downtown Chicago so rides on the subway will be shorter and taxi fares will be cheaper.

I used to prefer O'Hare to Midway, because I could avoid the traffic and take the subway to downtown in about 55 minutes (though a taxi would have been $45-50 I believe). Midway would require a taxi back then for $25 or so. Now that you can take the subway to downtown from Midway (in about 35 minutes or so), I actually prefer that less-crowded (and recently-renovated) airport.

I'm still an O'hare guy due to the greater choices in airlines. I also don't like Southwest Air due their lack of assigned seat policy - very inconvenient for business travel.

Midway is closer--and cheaper--if you're taking a cab to the city.

I usually go to O'hare for the simple reason I live off the subway line that goes there so it is easier for me. However, I think that Midway is becoming a much better airport (due to O'hare's congestion problems) , not to mention it is closer to downtown than Ohare is so I'd go with Midway all other things being equal. Both are easily served by the trains and taxis.
