Which Airport and where to stay - West Point Academy?
We've been invited to a wedding at West Point Military Academy. I'm looking for the least-stressful drive from either LaGuardia/JFK/Newark. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I can't get a feel (from the Academy website driving directions) for which one to choose. It's a long way off, Nov 09, so I am going on the assumption that airfare isn't a deciding factor at this point.
Also, does anyone have any suggestions for a great B&B or small inn nearby?

From where are you traveling?
I would rate the airports in this order of proximity and/or ease.
1. Closest is Stewart/Newburgh (SWF) - <30min away, if that far. JetBlue from several FL locations, AirTran from Atlanta, and a couple of the big airlines fly there but with very limited schedules. Long time rumors are that SouthWest will start flying there now that highway access is improved but who knows if it'll come to pass.
2. Westchester/White Plains (HPN). A little more frequent service by the majors than SWF. About 45min away.
3. Newark - no need to navigate NYC traffic. Probably about 75min or so drive. Good for long distance and shorter distance flights. CO hub.
4. LGA. Good service up/down East Coast, DFW, and Chicago. Closer than EWR but there can be some hassle coming/going into NYC.
5. Albany. <2hrs drive - served by Southwest, plus all the other majors.
6. JFK. Also about 2hrs. Good for non-stops long distance, and JetBlue hub.

Actually, Stewart airport in Newburgh is the closest airport--practically next door. Only a few airlines fly there now, but by next year, there may be more--at least that's what's planned.
Of the other 3 NYC area airports, Newark would be a much easier for you

We're coming in from Bermuda, so we can fly direct to the NYC area airports. Thanks for all the info - maybe we can swing a connecting flight to Stewart airport? There will be plenty of family (with cars!!) in the area if we could get that close.
I appreciate the details!!

For me non-stop is always preferred over a connection. From BDA, the only non-stops are JFK (AA & JetBlue) and EWR (CO). I'd fly non-stop into EWR and rent a car. There are no connecting flights into Stewart from NYC airports - too close.
USAir flies PHL-BDA and PHL-SWF, so that may be an option that doesn't take you too far out of the way.

Continental will often have reasonably cheap flights from Bermuda to Newark. When in doubt, always go with the most direct option. You might certainly save time from Stewart Airport, but the connection time would make that impractical.
When you leave Newark airport, follow signs for 78 West. About 6 miles from the airport will be the Garden State Parkway. Take that all the way to the NJ/NY boder when it turns into the NY State Thruway.
Total trip is less than 70 miles.
