Where would you spend January?

Where in the US do you think is the best place to stay in January, if you like sun and warm/hot weather?

I think that this is good advice. There is really no place in the US where you can count on truly (predictably) warm weather in January and this probably is your highest probability.

I vote for Tucson too. It was absolutely beautiful when we were there in early January, several years ago. Temps in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

It's not exactly contiguous, but the US Virgin Islands.

Anything in Florida near or south of Alligator Alley. From Naples across to Ft. Lauderdale and down. Beautiful weather!

You should have eliminated Florida in your OP. No where else in the continental US has warm/hot weather in the US in January than the Florida Keys. I love the Scottsdale area, but you don't get that weather!
