I've been going to Holden Beach NC, for nearly 46 years. Other places we have visited for 15 years + include the NC Mts., Amelia Island & New Orleans. A lot of where people may return to will depend on their locale & ease of getting to that place. I love Paris & Montserrat & we return to both places as often as we can. I'm just not sure your question will get you the answer you are seeking.

England. At least once per year, haven't been thus far and I'm having serious withdrawls. Used to be Hawaii, now not so much. We spend a lot of time in Florida and visit the northeast 1-2 times per year for the history. San Diego for the convenience, an hour's flight away and my spouse grew up there.

Speaking only of the US my top three would be:

Montana- especially the Missoula area. Nightlife culture and any outdoor activity out your front door.

DC/Annapolis- Incredible sites, history, and great food.

SF- Only been there once but want to return, buetiful city.

Yellowstone National Park
Zion National Park
Arches National Park
Capitol Reef National Park
Yosemite National Park

We've been to all these parks at least 12 times. Yosemite and Zion at least 24 times each.
