Where to Stay on the Middle Oregon Coast

We're staying a couple of days in Portland, then driving down the coast. Looking for somewhere interesting to stay between Pacific City and Florence. It's just my wife and I, looking for a nice quiet spot, a cabin or something like that.

There are yurts in several of the State parks. I have stayed at yurts in Tugman and Sunset Bay. http://www.oregonstateparks.org/inde...Page&parkId=69
Try to see the Roosevelt elk along Rt. 38 east of Reedsport.

some of my friends have used this rental agency

I usually stay in Yachats - if you can't find a cabin try the Adobe Motel or the Fireside

We've stayed in Yachats in a B&B and the Fireside and felt it was a very good location.

I think the Adobe and Fireside are great- both ocean front with a paved path in between.
Some of the rooms at the Adobe have kitchens and they also have a restaurant with ocean views
